Beefy, stable and comfy. Not lightweight.
The GT3 is an absolutely excellent scooter for commuters and others who want a durable, stable and powerful ride around town. This scooter is built like a tank. You won't want to carry it up and down many steps and you won't want to put in the trunk of a sedan. But if you want a ride that feels stable and makes you feel confident as a rider, this one is a good choice. The deck is big and roomy, which makes me and my big feet happy. The cockpit is nicely laid out, with controls positioned comfortably and intuitively. The suspension makes navigating the rough streets I ride on safer and less jarring. The dual disk brakes are string and reliable. They are cable-actuated, so not as powerful or self-adjusting as hydraulics, but more than adequate for city riding and a lot easier and cheaper to maintain and repair.I'm a city dweller, so range is more than adequate for me and charging time isn't an issue. Top speed is not an issue, because riding faster than 30 mph in short city blocks with lots of traffic is just not a good idea anyway. Acceleration is important and the GT3 has plenty to get me across the big intersections and to zip out of potentially hazardous traffic pockets. So far, I just don't have any serious complaints. If your use case is like mine and you don't have to carry your scooter up and down stairs, this is one that's well worth considering.

The personal electric vehicle revolution is here!
This is honestly the coolest thing that I've ever bought aside form my iPhone. If you live in a big city, it will completely revolutionize the way that you live where you live. The idea that you can go point to point anywhere you want and lock up your scooter right outside of your destination, combined with the fact that it is small enough to keep in a studio apartment, is an absolute categorical game changer. On top of the form factor, even if you go over the most difficult pothole, the GT3's suspension ensures that you will be a-ok. The product combined with Segway's unbelievable customer support has made me a customer for life. Thank you!

Better for kids than adults, also can't get wet AT ALL
The media could not be loaded. It's great to an extent - it seems to be well built, I love how it's lightweight and easy to fold up. However - I was only able to get 7-8 miles out of one charge. I'm not sure if the scooter is designed this way or if mine was defective, but the brakes (or lack of) are a bit scary. I made a point to test them out a handful of times, and when the scooter is going full speed at 12 mph, it takes at least a full car length to stop the scooter when I hit the brake. I almost ran into a few cars when I couldn't stop quickly enough. I'm not expecting it to come to a complete stop instantly of course, but I also need it to be able to stop in less than 10 feet when a distracted driver inevitably cuts me off. I also wish that this was advertised better on the Amazon listing instead of buried in the instruction manual, but the scooter apparently has very little water resistance. According to the instruction booklet, riding the scooter in the rain, or eventhrough a puddle could be disastrous. Not that I expect that the majority of scooter riders would make a habit out of riding in pouring rain, but I think it's safe to say that anyone that rides a scooter runs the chance of getting caught in an unexpected rainstorm. Apparently if that were to happen riding this scooter, there's an excellent chance that it would never work again after. So in a nutshell, it would be a great little scooter for kids that just want to ride around on their block. Not so much for adults that would rely on it to commute to and from work. I've always heard great things about the Segway company, and their scooters being very reliable, so I'm going to research some of their more expensive models and see if I can find a better fit for my needs.

Fun stuff indeed!
Wow... just wow. I am jazzed and love riding this thing. The charging led to the charging cable and associated transformer to get quite hot. I checked with Segway and was assured that it was indeed ok as it performed. Hot enough to not be able to hold it. Sure hope that this does not create a problem, but Segway in its GT3 has a winner... this from a 70 year old guy who loves to ride bikes, paddle boards and now this. Fun stuff!

Does not meet expectations.
Speed great. Interface just okay if you want to use the navigation as described you need to use the navigation in the app and keep the phone open and unlocked which defeats the whole purpose of putting away your phone. The suspension is clunky and rough. I expected more for the price point the max g3 has better more adjustable suspension than this which is crazy.

The Second Generation Super Scooter is a huge upgrade! I LOVE IT!
Replaced my Ninebot Max G2 and I'm loving this scooter so far. Its the *smoothest* ride I've ever had even compared to my wife's GT2.
