Excellent value for fairy shrimp eggs
I consider these "five stars" because you're getting more eggs per dollar than the other brands I've seen (potentially dozens of hatching cycles), and they're still hatching well after several months.I originally bought these for salamander food, but then my salamanders escaped. Since then, I've just been hatching and growing them for fun, occasionally feeding some to my guppies (who love devouring them). The transparent little critters are pretty interesting to look at, especially once they're fully grown (roughly an inch long).Since I don't recall this including any instructions, here's how to hatch them. Take dechlorinated tap water, add a tiny sprinkle of eggs, and put the container near a window in your home. Wait a couple of days for them to hatch. That's it. Do NOT put food in the water until they are already hatched. When I put what I considered to be a small amount of chlorella powder in the water with them, the hatch rate was ZERO. Starting them in water from my aquarium, which contains algae, lowers the hatch rate, but not disastrously.Once hatched, they become extremely low maintenance, especially of water quality; I left some in a bucket of aquarium water in my backyard while I was on vacation for a few weeks, and they grew to maximum size. Chlorella powder is reportedly their ideal food, but I have found it tricky to use because it quickly rots if you add more than they can eat. In my opinion, it's far easier to give them water that contains live algae (from an aquarium or outdoors) and just leave the tank alone. A bubbler seems beneficial but isn't necessary.

ZERO hatching.
Not a single egg hatched. I have done brine shrimp before that hatched just fine but this freshwater version of shrimp did not hatch even a single one. I used some in a very green watered outdoor container pond that should have been ideal and full of food, but no shrimp hatched. Other batches I did in chlorella cultures for instant food for the babies, but again, no hatching. I did others in a bottle of clear treated water to visually test hatching rates. Again zero hatching. I wonder if these are real eggs or a rip-off substitute.

What did I know!
I bought this because these fish I have are very particular about what they eat and because they are from all over the world, who has time to learn all those languages? Well, when this UTH Fish food arrived it was manna from heaven. My fish love it. The only problem was that I didn't buy enough.

Normally great, but once Bottle was not sealed and leaking when arrived
Normally I like this product and I am a repeat buyer, but this time the manufacturer’s quality control was poor and the liquid leaked out into the bag during shipping. And this stuff stinks even when it’s fresh so you can imagine how it smelled after leaking and being warm for several days in the packaging. This had nothing to do with shipping, the bottle was intact and they always do a fabulous job packaging it in multiple layers of bubble wrap, which also helped in the case because it held most of the liquid in. It was just poor production. And it’s non-returnable so I had a difficult time figuring out how to go about getting a refund, but I did finally figure it out. So five stars for how this product normally is, but I’m taking away a star since it isn’t a consistently reliable product.

Bad Product
These are not fairy shrimp and will explain. Have hatched the eggs and the hatch rate is very high, but what hatches are worms and not fairy shrimp. Two types of worms hatched, being white Planaria and Detritus worms with the majority being Detritus worms. The Detritus worms hatched in the thousands for a 1/2 tsp batch of eggs and hundreds for the white planaria. White planaria are carnivorous and can be dangerous to sleeping fish and shrimp. While this was an exciting prospect, what was received is definitely not what was advertised.

You not only get fairy shrimp but also daphnia, black worm and mosquito larvae
The good? It works. You just need to make a spare bucket with some old aquarium water and throw some very little eggs in there. Give it a month and it will be teaming with fairy shrimp (fewer) tons of daphnia and black worms. All three are amazing food for fish. Once you get it going you can use your fish net to take some and add to your tank. You can now culture your own food for baby fish. The bad? Ive found that they also hatch some mosquito larva as well as dragonfly larva. The dragonfly could be a problem for baby fish as they are carnivorous.Overall i love this product and will buy again. But my purchase will last me a long time as these baby insects breed and multiply

Came expired
Didn't realize it was expired and I've been feeding it to my betta. She's now really sick and I don't know if there is a correlation. She does love the food though. I do keep it refrigerated. I guess I'll have to throw it out.
