Great poppy seed rolls for a great price. Mom approved!!!
Update 12/26/2020:Ordered 12/14 night and arrived 12/21. Not bad for holiday time. Had my first one of the batch and was once again very happy with what was sent me; moist, flavorful, and full of filling. I did notice something new that I am indifferent on. This new batch has some poppy's on the top baked in. I don't know yet if it adds or subtracts but I finished the first roll and as I said, I was indifferent at this point. The packaging is the same with an aluminum tray, the poppy seed roll bagged, and the bagged roll in a clamshell container. The rest are in the freezer where I have successfully taken out rolls that were up to one year frozen and still loved the product. I don't expect my current batch to last that long this year. My first rolls shows the quality has not dropped and I look forward to the rest. Update 10/28/2021: After also sending my mother some birthday poppy seed rolls 7/19/2021 we found her delivery also had the baked in poppies on top so it was done on purpose. After we both shared our thoughts we both agreed the extra baked in poppies were not needed. They look good, but during the eating it provides a slight gritty quality that in the end I think the rolls are better off without the exterior baked in poppies. Two like minded opinions agreeing. Do away with the exterior poppies is my recommendation.Update 12/22/2019:Ordered 12/17/2019 in the evening and delivered the morning of 12/20. This morning 12/22 first one was tried and moist and full of filling as we have had before. No shortcuts on these rolls. The last batch was ordered a year ago and the last one was had on Thanksgiving and was fine, so that is nearly a year frozen and their still good. These really do freeze well in their packaging. Just put them in and leave them alone. Pull and thaw or if needed sooner then use the microwave for some help. The price went up a bit this year but is very much still a deal compared to the many lacking alternatives. For my family we have had nothing but consistent quality product each year. Buying by the dozen works out well if you either have people to give to or can freeze and pull when you want another. Enjoy.Update:12/23/2018Fourth order of a case of 12 and they have been as good as before for my family. Thankfully we have never had an order yet that we did not love and gobble away. But last week the fourth order was submitted, showed up fast as usual (all of the four orders showed up fast). Nine rolls were put into the freezer and two were left out as desired. Then a third was passed on to my brother who loves these as well. These are a great bargain. Go to the store and find a roll and it will likely be double or triple the cost and not likely as good as these ones. Yes you get a case of 12 but they are worth it and freeze well. Put them in the freezer and pull out as needed.2017 review bought two this year; a case for mom and a case for me:Let me start off by saying I was raised eating poppy seed rolls for years. My mom spent year after year making walnut and poppy seed rolls. Now over 3000 miles away I ordered this last year before the holidays. I was blown away by the quality. I also shared some with my mother when she came to visit. she was impressed with how full of poppy seeds the rolls were. The flavor and quality were exceptional. This year my mother and I will each be ordering a case of 12. These did freeze well for over 6 months without any issues with the last one I had at 7 months and still yummy. Great value product.

Baked with childhood memories
When I bought a case of 12 for the very first time for approximately $80 I was extremely nervous. My local bakery stopped making these poppyseed rolls after the pandemic started. I’ve had this tradition in my life for 57 years and could not imagine Christmas or Easter without that. When my case of 12 arrived and I tasted the first adequately overstuffed soft bakery shell roll, I knew I was in heaven! I didn’t care if it had to come from New York to Philadelphia or from California to Philadelphia, I would figure out anyway. The flavor was as I remembered it during childhood, the texture was immaculately equaled and the price was fair considering I bought 12. My only dissatisfaction which isn’t a really big deal, is that I have never seen sprinkled poppyseed baked on the top and around the roll. But in reality, who cares it gives you more poppy seed! Yay! I couldn’t say anything nicer when were delicious. I just wish I was getting a free box for myself with such high praises. I cannot wait to Easter so that I can order my next case

These are Great!
The box arrived in three days, instead of the advertised two weeks. Each of the 12 one pound rolls was individually wrapped in a plastic bag and placed in an outer plastic re-closable shell. They can be placed directly into the freezer without additional wrapping. The "use by date" was two months from the day it arrived. These are excellent! The rolls have just the right mix of dough to poppy seed filling. They are sweet, but not overly so. We have purchased many poppy seed rolls from different bakeries. These are the best we have had! It would be nice if Reismans had a wider selection on Amazon, maybe a sampler pack. It's not always easy to buy a dozen rolls of one item. Luckily, we can freeze what we don't need right now.

not completely satisfied
I received my dozen poppyseed rolls. The price was low, the filling was abundant, the size of the roll is very good. But they all seemed to be overbaked. And the filling had a slightly strong flavor, maybe too much honey? Or did overbaking make them taste off? I was going to give as gifts, but put in freezer. I "got through" with one, and am not eager to start another. My mom used to make them, and I could not get enough of them.......these were a disappointment.

Best Poppyseed rolls out there.
We used to buy our Poppyseed Rolls from New York. They were quite pricey. Now, we buy these loaves and love them. Just wish we could buy in 6 packs instead of 12. We freeze the ones we are not using, but still it takes awhile to go through 12. Great gifts!

I ate all 12 Loaves over Christmas break!
These were the absolute best Poppyseed rolls Ive ever eaten. I am a stickler for good poppyseed. I cant say enough about this product. The poppyseed filling was quite generous and they were LONG Hugh Rolls. They were bagged and sealed in plastic packages. I cant make this product cheaper. This saved me time during the holidays since I left the baking up to Reismans. I hope they continue to carry this product thru amazon. this was one of my BEST purchases all year!
