If you suffer from dry cracked hands, this is a lifesaver. If you work with your hands, you know how easy it is to develop cracks on your fingertips, which can be very painful. This works fast and helps speed up the healing process to relieve that pain.

This is so much better than new skin, if you ever use new skin you know how long it takes to dry to give you that barrier that you're hoping for but then, it starts flaking this does not this creates a barrier that almost looks invisible except for a slight sheen and it dries in half the time. It works very well.

It works well for deep fingertip cracks, but in my experience, not as a stand-alone product by itself. Expect to also regularly use a moisturizer on your hands and take other precautions like wearing gloves when doing work in the cold outdoors or when scrubbing pots & pans, etc...Having said that, it is a very useful addition to that regimen.My chief beef is that this is a ridiculously expensive product for just .24 ounces. And on top of that, you will never use up the bottom quarter-inch in the bottle, because even if you use it regularly, that last bit in the bottom will harden and yellow over the course of a month or two (see attached photo of a used bottle right next to a brand-new bottle). Also, as the product gets used up, the applicator brush no longer sits immersed in the liquid, and it becomes brittle and difficult to use.

When you have a paper cut, the pain can be fierce. You wonder how something so small can hurt (and be bumped) so much? I bought this for my husband whose hands get so dry. (He does all the dishes since i’m a little handicapped.) Then if he uses his thumb for flossing or such, it breaks the skin. At first he balked, thinking it wouldn’t give very much protection. I convinced him to try it. Sure enough, now he’s a believer. I used 2 coats, waiting couple minutes between coats, and it gave him protection for several hours. He reapplies it as he needs to, keeps it by the sink. It works, isn’t sticky and stops the pain.

I get cracks/splits in my thumbs all the time. I was hoping this would help based on the positive reviews but it has a lot of cons.- It doesn't last long, washes off.- Its sticky feeling.- You have to apply more than one layer at a time.So I mean, it helps a bit for recovery but not when it has to keep being applied. I like that it doesn't burn when I put it on. Just was hoping for a better product. I'm not sure if I'll buy again. I'll have to think about it.

Have tried many other (liquid bandage, Nu-skin, etc) and they all sting or burn and don't work! Nexcare Skin Crack Care is the ONLY thing I have found that works without burning and stays on to allow the crack time to heal. Have been unable to find it in the stores recently so I'm ordering from Amazon. Thankfully they still have it and it's not been discontinued, which was my fear! Since I frequently get cracked skin on my fingertips and thumbs in the winter and they are extremely painful, I am so happy that it's still available. Agree with other reviews that the bottles are tiny and the liquid does turn yellow after awhile (still effective). Eventually it will harden up tho (keep it TIGHTLY closed to delay this happening) but I will gladly put up with that since it's such a life-saver for me. My biggest problem is that I'm clumsy and the bottle is so tiny I occasionally drop the bottle or tip it over and I'm like Oh Noooooo! LOL It would be nice if they made the brush a little longer so you can reach the liquid at the bottom :)

This really works. I have problems with both my thumbs getting cracked. This liquid goes on quickly and really seals the crack well.

Has really helped with dry skin cracks - seals them up and limits any pain...
