Fun to throw but not very durable!
Finally found a big cross section from a downed tree to haul into our backyard for hatchet throwing. It is a very hard wood, so I appreciate that these razor sharp axes have no trouble biting into it (a larger axe I bought just bounces off). They are light and easy for all ages to throw and I appreciate the bright colors that help us find them when they sail past into our ivy covered back slope. But they get chewed up fast. The picture on the right is the set I bought 2 months ago. The blades are dinged and the handle wrappings have been sliced up and come unraveled and yes, the multiple layers of duct tape does change the weight on the axe, so it's not ideal even if they still work. The picture on the left is the SECOND identical set I bought after just 2 days of use. You can see how fast they start coming apart. We throw them 3 at a time, and usually the tears on the wrapping come from one axe nicking the handle of the other, so I guess we could extend their lives by throwing one at a time but where's the fun in that? If you can figure out how to make a super tough handle covering I'll be in love. For now, I'm willing to spend $40 every 2 months on my new hobby.

Blades bend easy
Thin non tempered or hardened steel. You will have to bend your blades back constantly. They will break eventually

I will buy this brand again.
Family fun in the front yard! Hours of use and nothing has broken. Other brands we have tried snapped, but over 20 hours of use and Ned Foss brand still in tact. Lightweight and durable, and stick well. My family has amateurs and a seasoned thrower and all of us enjoy these. So fun, tried it once and was hooked. Old pallet with no gaps made a perfect target.

Good solid throwing tomahawks
If you are anything like me, you love a good hatchet or tomahawk. These came sharp right out of the box. The full Tang makes them nice, and sturdy and that rubber grip gives you a good hold on him. They are nice and thin and good for tactical carry. I took him out and did a few throws, they stuck nice and easy. I threw one poorly and it stuck upside down with the back end of the hatchet. Either way these are dependable.
