Great filter that holds alot of media!
Works great to filter my 75 gallon. It was a problem to prime. We watched some youtube videos and it worked well. Had to have water in canister to prime it. I love the uv light to keep my water great. Tip dont leep ur uv light on all the time. It has an easy button on top to turn on and off. It has 4 large baskets for media. This is comparable with my fluval fx4 for filtration but holds way more media. Although my FX4 is easier to prime. My tank is over stocked and this keeps it clean. I can't hear it as long as you have the impeller set up correctly and burp it. I would suggest watching videos on setting up to make it easy set up. Video said to lean to side slightly and smack the canister to burp it. I would throw away the white filter pads it comes with it and replace with better quality. The white filter pads just desingrate.

Best filter
Ive had this filter for almost 3yrs & not a single time have I cleaned this filter (yes I know terrible) but even without cleaning it this filter has not stopped working since the day I bought it. I highly recommend this filter & will be buying another just incase!! Keeps my aquarium water nice & clear!

Worked great for 6 months then died
This worked great for the first 7 months. Bought end of Jan 2022 and had to buy a replacement filter for my freshwater tank last night Aug 2022. The uv light melted the plastic on the baskets. Had no idea, woke up yesterday morning to it making a ton of noise and took it apart to clean it and this is what I find. The plastic either isn't uv rated or the bulb too high of wattage. Huge disappointment after spending all this money. Went ahead and bought one I have normally purchased. Glad that this did not ruin my tank and kill all of my fish.

Keep your eyes on the ground around your filter
Had a problem with the seal leaking and slowly seeping out even after buying a replacement rubber

it leaks quit a bit until you seal it 5 or 6 times and it fits perfect
the pump is strong, and all looks great, until you watch it when you turn it one.The top leaks quit a bit, I lost about 5 gallons of water and noticed it was down, then reset the top, but leaked 4 more times. After hitting the top, it finally sealed enough not to leak until day 2, I lost more water, so I looked and it was leaking again. since day 2 it has not leaked, but makes you scared to leave the house, thinking it might leak again, ALSO the UV light was broken, I'm running it without the UV light

Buy it!
Absolutely love this canister! It sits on a 75 gallon turtle tank with 2 turtles in it and I feed them in the same tank and this canister keeps my tank crystal clear. It's also very quiet and easy to setup

Awesome filter for bigger fish!
Bought this filter for my 55g with Cichlids and silver dollars, these fish produce ALOT of waste!! This filter works amazing, was easy to setup and has good flow for pushing everything to the intake. Will definitely be looking at some other sunsuns for my other tanks!

This one is not as good as three I'd gotten previously. No quite right.
This one is not as good as the last three I had gotten. Definitely not functioning as well. Can't seem to hold suction loud and noisy. Am looking into a different brand and model for the next purchase.
