So far, so good
First off, having read the reviews and color issues folks had with 98QBP0302 (Snow White), I opted for this one, the Pearl White. Well, my mistake. That's not to say that the snow white would have been correct, but it likely would have been closer to correct. If the inside of your microwave is any shade of white, then get 98QBP0302 (Snow White). This Pearl White color is what I would describe as bone, sand, or beige - it is even darker than almond. So, that being said about color matching, I was more interested in how well this spray paint would resolve some of the issues developing with our 8 year old microwave. Yes, at 8 years, it's probably time to just replace it. However, there is nothing mechanically wrong with the unit. It works well, it's a great size, it is powerful, and the outside looks practically new. However, for some time now, the vent gratings on the top inside had the enamel come off and the bare metal was showing/rusting. The remainder of the inside top was also showing signs of discoloring that would not come clean. There was also a chip in the enamel on the inside base under the turntable.I first gave the inside a good cleaning. Then I used a wire brush on the caked rust on the vent gratings and vacuumed out the rust chips/dust. Before spraying, I covered and taped off all other areas. When you spray, it is going to create vapors throughout the inside, so anything you don't want to get hit with over spray, cover and tape it. Better too much cover than too little. It's also probably a good idea to wear a mask when spraying as the fumes are pretty strong.I took heed with the instructions to spray lightly. It is best to do multiple light coats than too much, which will cause the spray to liquify, pool, and run. Lightly spray, air it out to dry a bit, lightly spray more. Take your time - do many, many light coats and the results look really wonderful. When you think you're done, wait a bit, and then do one more light coat. The 6 ounce can goes a very long way. With each light coat I did, I then put a box fan in front of it for a few minutes, then came back to do the next light coating. I did the entire top of the inside of the microwave, getting both vent gratings and everything that was discolored. It looks nice and clean now. I then uncovered the chip in the bottom. When I first sprayed the chip, it began to make the enamel around it bubble and come off. I cleaned off what I had sprayed, and then used some steel wool to better smooth the area around the chip. I then washed/dried it, then used some rubbing alcohol to clean/dry more. Now when I sprayed, it was sticking and not affecting the area around the chip. I did a bunch more light coats, again drying with the box fan between each. All was good. After I was done with the spraying, I then left the box fan blowing in to it for another couple hours. I then moved it from the garage back into the kitchen and let it sit overnight with the door open. This morning, I plugged it in, did some cooking in it, and everything seems well. The inside of my microwave is now two-tone, but who cares? We'll see in time how durable it is. If necessary, I'll use the remaining paint to touch up any areas that need it. I'm hoping to just get another few years out of the microwave, then will replace.

Glad I went with PEARL WHITE on my GE Oven Microwave Combination Oven
I, like other reviewers, was torn on which white to get. My suggestion is that if you look inside your oven and you think, ''YES! That is absolutely bright white!'' then go with snow white. If you think anything like, ''Ugh...I am thinking this is probably off white''' then go with pearl white which is less stark apparently than snow white. My microwave is a GE appliance. It is the dual microwave on top, oven on the bottom unit. This has to be at least 10 years old, probably more. My microwave has been peeling like hell for years and finally I searched for a solution on Amazon and found this.Thank God I found this!I am no professional, but it doesn't look like I missed any spots and my interior microwave is not two toned like I missed spots. I had some paint left over at the end in case I find some. The paint dries fast enough for you to be able to lightly spray and spray again.I do recommend scrapping off all the old paint, sanding, and cleaning extremely well before painting. You will also want to take off the vents inside and any holes. Once you get a basic coat down, take the tape off and lightly spray the vent (holes) area. You don't want to spray inside cuz you'll hit fans or the light or whatever.I even did the outside front of the microwave and it blended very well.I wish I did this years ago!!!I attached my before and after. The before is actually after we scraped it down so it looks even worse than our true before, but I forgot to get a before picture until that moment. Man, the before and after is so exciting!I am going to get as many years as humanly possible out of this girl!

Prep the surfaces thoroughly if you want good results
I had no idea that I would need specialized paint for the inside of the microwave but I found this product thankfully. Truthfully there weren't a lot of options and many of them where more expensive or had long shipping times by comparison so I gave ERP a try. I didn't need to spray the entire cavity just a few small areas around the lip of the door that had warn to the metal over time and would make an arcing occasionally while the microwave was in use. I used this paint after cleaning away the rust and other contaminants. Unfortunately, I didn't do a good enough job cleaning away the rust and the paint started to discolor. However, the arcing problem was solved. The other areas that weren't rust have held up with no problems at all. I would recommend this paint to anyone just make sure you thoroughly clean and degrease any area you want to paint.

Not the color I expected pearl white to be.
I purchased the pearl white color having previously tried the snow white color from another vendor. This pearl white hue leans towards the darker side, more towards the beige side of the color scale. than the white. I bought it to touch up an area in my GE Profile microwave, and due to the color difference, I am probably going to have to repaint my entire microwave oven cavity to get it to look nice. (See attached photo)This paint meets all the criteria you want in a cavity paint -- paint that is food safe, high temperature tolerate, and almost odorless. I gave it three stars because it wasnt my image of "pearl white" and it did not match the color of my microwave interior.
