After moving into a home with ceiling at 9 and 10ft, and vaulted areas reaching as high as 12ft, I needed a ladder which allowed me to work at all these heights. I found the select step, and love it.At first I accidentally ordered the smaller model from 2015. This was due to a in accurate description.The Amazon description is incorrect: "standing platform works at any height between 5 ft and 8 ft"The actual height of the standing platform can be adjusted between 3 and 5 feet. The top of the ladder is what is between 5 and 8 ft. So take that into account when you figure out how high you can reach.The ladder isn't as heavy as I expected. Little Giant ladders are normally very heavy. The legs also make it very stable.The wheels are nice, but you have to have a lot of clearance to use them. Otherwise is it as easy as any other ladder to move around.Adjusting it can be a bit nerve racking as you need to keep your fingers free of any moving areas. But otherwise it is easy enough to adjust. Tip: add some labels to help you set it up to the height you want to reach.The Airdeck is what makes this ladder. If you ever set it up without it, you instantly miss the function, and go and attach it before working. It holds a lot more stuff than your typical ladder work surface.The standing platform is also a great feature. It saves your feet when you have to be on the ladder for extended periods. It also makes folding the ladder much easier. No more smacking stupid cross-beams in half.

This is a great ladder. It is light for the weight it will support. It can be adjusted for height and angle. Very versatile.

Velocity and Revolution ladders have lost the air deck attachment which in my view makes them dangerous to use at upper rung levels in their step ladder function as no hand hold. Makes no sense why this capability was taken away. Older U tube videos will show it is present and why it is such a good idea. This ladder is superior as a step ladder. One reason is it does have the air deck function with the airdeck included. Unlike the other ladders it has a built in platform. It is also lighter in part as can only use one side.I also have a Revolution but do not use as a step ladder; primary use is as an extension ladder with extensions for uneven ground. So have found I need both ladders.
