Michelangelo`s `David` Statue Marble White Finish

This is very lifelike for a 12 inch statue. It has nice angles on the abdomen and legs. Also it has the nice van and contours in the in the right biceps in for him. The sling with the rock over the shoulder is also very good. For 12 inches you can’t get that much, but if you put it on the bookshelf for an office area it really looks nice. And 12 inches is not too large. It works well with the other books and photos.

You can find a ton of 'David' statues but many (most?) are poor likenesses of the original in Florence's Galleria dell'Accademia in Italy. This one is detailed, has a great color (bright white), and made of a dense resin that gives it a quality feel.The price is right and you should one one.

Very nice piece! The details are great and precise, except for his penis that is either uncircumcised or without a "head". Good substantial size and quality. I am planning to spray paint mine gloss red to add some " coolness" to its quite classy look. It looks like a good quality marble as is. I recommend this!

There were several imperfections. The worst was that it wobbled

I have actually seen the real David. This thing is good. It is hand carved-not as cast. It is small but not to small. I would say it is perfectly sized. I don't have room for the real thing so this is nice. The attention to detail is impressive. A wonderful addition to any shelve.
