Very nice bug zapper. Works nicely as both a wand and a trap. I like that it is easy to position it anywhere you want with the base station so can put it in the path of fruit flies near plants. I am using it in my green house. Very efficient and good size easily gets the work done. With lights off and the purple led it attracts the insects wonderfully. By morning there aren't any bugs left.

I bought this wand in a rush because Gnats have been driving me crazy for months - its extremely efficient.It can be used as a stand light / bug zapper or as a wand to swat at flies. Not going to to lie its pretty fun to use.I do not regret this purchase and honestly I think I got rid the gnats in my home with this vs using light traps with sticky tape and sprays.10/10 would buy again or recommend to anyone needing a more efficient fly killing solution.

This charged up quickly and has been holding a charge reasonably well, although I haven't used it that much. It does seem to zap fruitflies ok, although a couple got zapped and continued flying. Maybe the electrode just grazed them? I hit a fly with it and the fly fell to the ground but continued twitching. When I scooped it up to throw in the trash, it began flying again, although pretty slowly. I was hoping it would knock insects dead, but it looks like sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. hence the 4, not 5 star rating. I didn't rate the battery life because like I said, I haven't used it all that much. So with only waving it around 3 or 4 times a day and having only very few insects to zap, it has held a charge for 3 days now without recharging. I imagine the battery would drain quicker if I was zapping whole clouds of bugs daily. There are 2 settings - one is designed for when you are waving the zapper around, trying to catch flying pests. In addition to pushing the slider switch on the side to setting #1, there is a large white button that you have to hold down when you are swinging it around. The button is large and flat, so it's pretty comfortable to hold down. The second setting has the electrodes on constantly (emits purple light), so you can put it in its stand (the stand is a bit wobbly because it's so light) and just use it like a mosquito lamp - bugs fly into it and get zapped. When a bug gets zapped, you get a really loud crackling noise - a bit startling at first, but you get used to it. I really like the fact that this has a rechargeable battery - more cost effective than having to change batteries all the time. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase.

This is my third purchase of this item. Decided to add one more for my outside patio. It’s that great. Works like a charm and looks great. Doesn’t distract from your surroundings so should fit into any homeDecor. Well built, the 2 that I have are going strong for 2 yrs so far. Have to admit everyone I hear a zap, it’s a reminder it’s working.

Okay so I’m dealing with teeny tiny gnats thanks to my plants that i may have over watered a bit plus flies, moths, random flying insects, and mosquitos that my dogs let inside when they come in and out. It’s driving me quite literally insane to the point I bought one of those salt guns but it’s SO messy albeit fun for house flies but that wasn’t cutting it so I got one of those lights fan thingies that basically makes a bowl of dehydrated flies in the bottom which is okay but not really what I needed. This though. This is what I needed from the start. It’s both fun to use and functional. For things mosquito sized and smaller it’s a solid 10/10 perfection the pop like little pop rocks it’s so satisfying. For things medium house fly sized and up it is probably going to take more than on wack as the first only momentarily stuns them or they might get stuck and burn. It stinks. It’s great indoor and outdoors but the placement of the button isn’t ideal and if you have it with the light turned on it’ll just keep clicking and it’s annoying. I’ll update if there’s any issues with functionality or battery life.

This swatter does an excellent job of swatting flying bugs. It is more powerful than one that I previously owned and I like the fact that it is charged by USB. A good purchase.
