Excellent
The cord is stable, yet light and soft. Very easy to regulate and stays in place, plus it remains dry all the time. It exceeds my expectations.

Excellent
Bought this for my hubby as he is a carpenter /kitchen fitter and his glasses kept falling off his head while lying down or looking under things. He says it's the best thing ever. You can adjust the strap on the back of the head to tighten the glasses so they are moulded to your face or slacken off slightly and you are able to slide your glassed up on to your forehead. This product has solved an annoying problem.

Very quick delivery, which was refreshing in light of how many delayed deliveries I recently had. The product itself is great value. It is a bit difficult to get the rubber grips onto the glasses arms but once you do it is clear they won't come off. It may be that with a pair of glasses with slimmer arms that will not be an issue at all. Other than that the fact that the actual strap is material as opposed to rubber makes it very comfortable to wear and does not pull your hair.

Big Fat Strap
This is an effective strap to retain sunglasses while sailing. However, it is much bigger, thicker and wider than it looks. It is more than twice the thickness of Croakies and the plastic piece that is there to tighten it is big and not well-moulded so it has sharp edges. It works fine, but I would prefer the croakies as, being less bulky, they do not get in the way as much and are not as unwieldy.

Don't let the size put you off
I bought these for my wife to use on a recent sailing trip. She thought them too bulky so I bought a cheaper "rope type" alternative but kept these as backup. Within the first day the cheaper alternative broke & she started using the Gill retainer. By the end of the week she commented how comfortable & secure they were.

Ruined my expensive sunglasses
Bought two of these retainers for my wife and myself. After around 9 months of use, the rubber snapped and my expensive sunglasses hit the deck destroying the lenses, exactly what I wanted to avoid and why I bought the retainer. When I looked at the design, there are metal ends inside the rubber on the end of the string which is fairly sharp.......hardly a brilliant design. Avoid these if you have expensive sunglasses and dont want to buy a new pair every 9 months.

Good for watersports
I bought these for kayaking at Windermere. They grip my glasses well and they do float with the glasses attached.
