Highly recommended. Much easier than step ladders and a bit more space to move around
This is an excellent and very well-made piece of equipment. It has two folding legs attached to the platform. The legs are secured in place with a metal bracket and spring-loaded clip. Easy to secure and release, yet reassuringly solid. The platform is quite stable, though at half a metre above the floor it needs those steps on the legs to make climbing on to it easier. Unlike a step ladder, though there is nothing to hold on to and the treads are a little narrow. Next to a wall there’s no problem, but in the middle of a room, it took me a little practise to step up confidently on to the platform (I’m getting on a bit, youngsters would have no problem with this). The height of the platform is perfect for me as it leaves the top of my head about two inches clear of the ceiling, so I think the step ladder may now be redundant unless I need to do something on the stairs. The platform itself is plenty big enough for my size 10 feet. There is a nice sticker on the side of the product with little graphics to show you what not to do and how to use it safely. When drilling the platform needs to be at right angles to the wall, otherwise there is a danger of it tipping – this is not something I would have considered as it seems very stable. Apparently wearing high heels is not a good idea – so I won’t do that. There’s a little picture of a wine glass next to a pile of pills so I guess you don’t use it when you’re under the influence either. It has a weight limit of 17.5 stone too.Despite the fact it’s manufactured in Essex, Amazon seemed to send it to me from Germany, and, even with Prime shipping, it took four days to arrive so don’t expect a quick delivery.Great product. Going to see lots of use.

A Very Useful Tool
The platform has quickly proved to be an essential piece of equipment. It was originally bought for use when cleaning the roof of a 2.1 metre high Volkswagen campervan and a couple of big SUVs. It has also proved very useful for a multitude of tasks including when cleaning large windows, painting a ceiling, fixing lights and repairing a shed roof. When not being used to access difficult-to-reach places, it provides a useful surface on which to place tools and sit whilst working on a car. The only slightly negative point is that when folding the platform, the release button can be awkward to press and you need to watch that you don’t catch your fingers. Otherwise it is very well made, lightweight, stable and folds flat for storage.

Sturdy, Light and Reassuring
Excellent sturdy platform. After years of using step ladders to paint coving and windows I now wish I had invested in a step up years ago because it is much easier on the souls and arches of your feet; makes the upper body more stable enabling you to paint straighter lines; and appears to be less tiring. I am over 14 stone and 6ft (183cm) so no lightweight but the platform does not flinch in use. In use my eye level is just blow the lower part of the coving with my head a couple of inches below the ceiling and just right for painting the coving line or fiddling with light fittings.I expected to have to use the step on the ends to mount the ladder when my hands were full but I found it easier to step straight up (aged 68). That said, it would be easier if it were a couples of inches lower as I do not have high ceilings.

Safer than a ladder
Needed a platform for cutting the hedge, but have used this when building the shed, replacing fencing panels, cutting the hedge, hiding chocolate on top of the cupboard away from my children. It’s sturdy, solid enough and has been a help around the house and garden. Am looking forward to using it for picking fruit in the summer. Also it’s amazingly lightweight

I'm 5ft 4 tall and the base height is perfect for me to put my knee on what ever ...
why oh why did i not buy this years ago. I'm 5ft 4 tall and the base height is perfect for me to put my knee on what ever I'm cutting. The ridged top -even in the drizzle- kept a fence post still. Also placed a whole sheet of that cardboardy type wood you use on the back of picture frames, two bricks on top and able to use a jig saw and hardly any movement. Its great to sit on with a cup of tea when having a break. You push IN the safety buttons on one side only to lower it back into its collapsed position. Which is quite flat. Put on wall behind door no problem. Also came in an amazon plain box - I always worry when stuff arrives announcing what it is, as where I live packages are safe in our porches but you don't want to tempt fate!

Sturdy, cost effective and does the job.
Strong and solid and so far has been used for painting the fence, cutting the hedge and gaining some headroom for photography at airshows (stands quite well on reasonable level grass thanks to the widespread feet and I've had total confidence with it so far) - remember to show consideration to other viewers and photographers around you! Make sure you check the height (of the step and yourself combined) before purchasing if you have a specific need to reach a certain height just to avoid finding yourself just a little too short - not a criticism of this model, just general advice for purchasing any step/platform device. Folds up quite nicely for storage in the garage or shed.
