As a librarian, this has been great for scanning books. The kids think it's cool, and it was easy to plug in and use.

I use 3x5 cards to organize my todos and I have software that prints a QR Code on the back of the cards as an index. That way I can scan the card and go to the entry in my files quickly. This reader stays plugged in to my USB hub and using the keyboard emulation, I simply need to waive my card over the reader. The reader detects if there is a change in light level and will begin scanning, so it is effectivly "always on". I have two of these now. One for my office at work and another for my home office.

Simply and easy to use. Just plug the use cable in and it works without any installation. Act efficient in our small convenience store.

Works well to scan my QR codes, and I like the optional serial communication mode that doesn't rely on keyboard input focus.
