Nikwax Tent and Gear Solarproof Spray-On Tent Waterproofer

We had an incident where we packed away a wet tent ( a no no I know) and unfortunately after some more bad weather we were unable to air it out for a week! This meant that there was a few mildew spots when taking it out but this solar wash sorted it right out and they came out brilliantly! My tent now looks and smells clean and refreshed and I bought the solar proof to use after aswell!The product comes with a sprayer which works brilliantly and the product goes far! For a 6 man tent I used about 1 litre of product!

Brilliant!!!! I was concerned my new tent with only a 2000mm HH may not cope with a bad storm so I bought the 2.5 bottle (came with a sprayer). Very glad I did spray the new tent as we had horrendous weather during our holiday. We were well protected, no leaks whatsoever. I also spotted various other old camping items and I'm really pleased with the result. The water forms droplets oh the surface of the fabric and it then just rolls off. I've been camping for decades and I just wish I'd invested in this sooner, Id have saved money from throwing away kit unnecessarily. The 2 5l bottle was a better value buy then the other sizes. I have 2/3 of it left at least, even after spraying a 5 berth talk dome tent & many other bits and pieces. Very happy with my investment in this product & strongly recommended.

My older tent has recently started to let some water in places, so it was either fix it or gert a new one.I had used Nikwax products before and foud them reliable, so decided to give this one a go to see if i could save my tent from landfill.I already had a suitable sprayer, so just filled it up and got to work. I chose a day which was not too sunny, as I did not want the waterproofer to dry too fast and end up with clearly visible spray marks.The day was warm and it did not take long for the spray-on to dry.Once complete, I was quite pleased with the result.To test the performance I pitched up the tent in my back garden when I knew it was going to rain.I was very pleased to discover that the waterproofer worked very well and I was not getting any more moisture coming through, in the same places where previously I had the problem.I would recommend.

Easy to use and very effective.

We have a hi gear kalahari 10 tent about 7 years old. We were going to get a new tent, as ours was starting to absorb water, until I saw this. This is amazing, easy to apply, I bought a 2.5 litre bottle, and used about half for a very large tent. saved me buying a new tent. Can’t recommend this enough 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻A lot of people have said the spray gun is rubbish, I found that on the pipe they put a small metal clip to stop the pipe from coming out of the bottle, this clip had pierced the pipe. Once I cut it out, the spray gun worked perfect.

Does the job but I would recommend getting a separate pressurised spray bottle to apply.In bought and used the bulk of 2 bottles for a large 6 man tent.We used this on holiday for our old tent as there was a rain storm coming in and the fabric was definitely not as waterproof as it once was. We lasted out 6 days of heavy Pembrokeshire rain with high winds/gusts. We still got wet but I was impressed at how much it improved our situation!
