300 ft tape Ideal for estimating the size of some jobs. Tape itself is rugged synthetic material that seems, the outer case is plastic not as tough as they much older units I've used, but I don't think they still make the ones with metal cases, at least I've never found one. For the price this can't be beat.

Easy to read

I bought it for one job. It will probably be good for that

I bought this Open Reel Tape Measure expecting it to be suitable for large outdoor jobs, but unfortunately, it completely misses the mark. When compared to both a Stanley measuring wheel and a laser measurer, this tape is off by about 1/16 of an inch every 20 feet—and that error compounds quickly the farther you go. On big jobs, that’s a deal-breaker.The tape is dual-sided with metric on one side and imperial on the other, which might be helpful for some, but I strictly use imperial measurements, so half of this thing is wasted space for me. Even more disappointing is that the tape material seems to stretch slightly, which only makes the inaccuracy worse.As for the reel itself, it feels cheap and fragile. The winding mechanism doesn’t inspire confidence, and I wouldn’t trust it to hold up on a rough job site or out in the field for long.Bottom line: this tool is marketed for serious work—sports fields, construction, engineering—but it just doesn’t deliver the accuracy or durability needed. Save your money and go with a Stanley or another reputable brand if precision matters in your line of work. This one’s going in the junk pile.

Big numbers easy to crank up after using

We bought this measuring tape for our cricket tournament where we used this to measure between the stumps and all the way to the boundary. being very soft rotation and long enough to use in our tournament. I recommend this absolutely.

Great tape for the money. Used this to lay out the footprint of our house. Easy to unwind and rewind. Numbers are easy to read. Smooth operation. Fits well in a handheld tool bag with other tools.

Product works exactly like it is supposed to work. Enjoyed the extra length to get the full picture of my yard
