Love <3
IMHO, this is a great amp if it suits your style. Even though these are now made in China and not the UK, Korg has done a great job making a great sounding amp and not cutting corners in quality. If you are concerned about build quality and how this large and heavy tube amp holds up in shipping, I'd say impressively well. I have no idea what hell this went thought to get to me. See the included pictures of the abuse the box took in transit. No only was the amp in physically perfect condition with no scratches, it has been playing without issue everyday for several months.

Vox AC30 continues a tradition of grooviness
Very good amp - a classic. Close to the original early 1960s models in sound and appearance. A bit over priced but fab.Very warm sounding but with brilliant highs and great resonance. Also has good tremolo/vibrato (if that floats your boat).

One of the best amps I have ever owned
I used to play tons of stuff from classic rock though metal. I have owned Marshall, Mesa Boogie, and Fender all tube amps. I decided I was going to try something totally and and bought this Vox and switched to running all overdrive through pedals. I read the vox was one of the best to get the sounds I wanted, and it was all true. I love this amp. I did by the one with the Alcino Blue speakers as they were rated the best.Would totally recommend if you are looking for vintage tones through pedals.

Big bang for the buck/great sound
Owned Marshall half stack prior. Wanted a combo and researched options. Went with the Vox AC30 with Celestion Alnico Blue speakers. Sound is absolutely amazing. Very loud for 30 watts. Love love love this amp!!

Big Things Come in Small Packages
At first glance the AC30 doesn't seem too special. After you plug in (or carry it a ways) you realize it's more than just another 30 watt 2x12 combo. It's a kick ass old school amp. Great tone. LOUD. Heavy. Simple, nothing fancy. Very touch sensitive, even with lots of pedals. Get the sound you like and run everything with the controls on the guitar. Good for anything except very hard rock or metal. A very bright amp. It warms up as the speakers break in but for single coil guitars it should be re-tubed, the tubes that came stock in mine were harsh to the point of unplayable. There are also some simple mods on the internet to consider that will take out some of the ice pick treble this amp is capable of. Once it's dialed in the sound is so good and it reacts with what you are playing so nicely it inspires you to keep playing, it's just fun to play through. The drawbacks to this amp is the weight and the open back cab wont give you tight, solid lows. A closed back 2x12 extension cab helps a lot if you play a lot of classic rock. If you are a plug-straight-in-no-effects-amp-distortion-only player this will be too much for most gigs and there are amps that do that thing better than the Vox. You can overdrive the pre-amp with the master volume yes, but it sounds better overdriveing the output section but man it's loud. It says 30 watts but it keeps up with my 100 watt Peavey no problem. Where this thing shines is just at the point of breakup. Jumper the two channels, put your pedals in front or in the effects loop and turn the pre-amps up to where the magic begins and you'll see what they mean when they say, "chime", "jangle" and "shimmer". The Vox AC30 is one the iconic guitar amplifier tones and if you like that sound you will like this version of the AC 30.

Clean tones like no other
I remember seeing these amps when I was a kid and loved the sound. From the Beatles to Queen to Aerosmith and so many other bands, this amp is a classic! When they came out with a purple one a few years ago I hopped on it! This amp has by far some of the best clean tones I have heard. I love to get a couple of pedals and get linked up to rock out with this amp. This is my favorite clean sounding amp and you can crank it up and get some bite too.
