Buyer Beware
This is only the press portion of the things you will need to foil stamps anything. You must also purchase the actual stamps that slot into the machine, which only lets you do one row at a time. The cost of the most basic level stamps range from $80-$100+, I can't even imagine how much custom plates would cost. Because I don't have any stamps I can't say how the machine functions but it does seem to be pretty well made. I guess I should have paid more attention instead of thinking that it would come with at lest a basic set of letters.

Priced low but has issues
The dies are 5/16 screw and the opening in the heated plat is smaller and no screw was provided. The roll foil doesn't fit even 3"

This machine works well
The temp is more of a guess with this, but it is consistant. The documentation could be better (ie this type of PID usually has an adjustment setting that would make the temp reading more accurate), but basic functions have been covered on youtube repeatedly, in depth on several similar machines. You will need your own stamps and lettering, but that is normal at this price range. All in all I am pleased with this addition to my workshop.

Ok...but
Construction was good, I just could never get a solid impression around my entire stamp. Tried adjusting several times, nothing work, I just gave up and returned it.

Good for those that already know what they're doing
First I want to mention that this machine is well built and it is HEAVY for its size. It seems to be made of all steel construction because it is dense and hard to move around. I suppose this is a good thing, because you don't want your machine moving around while you're trying to stamp something with it. Now, with that said, this machine doesn't actually include stamps with it, so you have to go buy those separately. So this isn't even a "starter kit," it's just a machine and you'd better already know how to use one in order to know what you're missing and what it does. Not for the inexperienced, I would say. The fact that not even letter stamps were included is a huge bummer.
