Fantastic, easy to use and cleans so well!

The media could not be loaded. This is a great steam cleaner, although there could be a few improvements to make it better. I have wanted a steam cleaner for a while, mostly to clean in the kitchen and also to use for cleaning grout. To clean the sink, cooker and grout it's very affective and cleans really well. The negatives are, in order to steam, you need to hold the button down constantly to steam the area you want to clean, which is quite annoying. The tank only holds 200ml of water, which is not alot and you then need to refill it again. You need to ensure you have used all of the water and steam to release the pressure, otherwise you cannot unscrew the lid to refill- this is a safety feature! It does take a couple of minutes once you fill the tank for the steam to come out, ready to use. It is a small cleaner but fairly heavy to hold. I think if the tank had more capacity and you didn't need to hold down the steam button down it would be so much better. That said, for my needs it works and delivers on what I need it to do; but it could be so much better if these issues were considered.

I bought a used one “like new” sold by Amazon warehouse. As I was not sure for how long I’ll be keen to use it. I real let down: rusty, had to view repair tips and tricks, became a good fixer.The tank is small. Only lasts for a few minutes. Then it gets tricky to top up and keep on going: you’ll be switching between the tasks then if this becomes a part of your routine. But well we learn and adapt.For me it serves a psychological pattern that the space will be cleared if I use this tool. Not sure if that’s the case in reality as I don’t mind the use of any chemicals in the household.Anyway, got another nerdy item but the price they charged was unfair for the “used, like new” item. It’s twice overpriced.

It took 4 fills to get my small house clean the first time. Since then one fill is enough. That will do the kitchen and bathroom floors, sink, toilet, large shower enclosure and tiles, kitchen and bathroom bins.The kitchen floor is vinyl laminate. I don't steam the joints, but get some steam going on a solid bit, use the hot mop, then a bit more steam now and again but always on solid plank so I don't force steam into the joints.I have also used it to steam an area of carpet under a bed where there were a few clothes moths lurking, and the lines in the carpet left when rearranging furniture. It didn't remove the lines completely but softened them enough to brush them out.A few things from other reviews that put me off : holding the steam button down is not at all difficult. I don't notice it. Perhaps it has been improved. It doesn't take hours to cool between refills, you just let all the steam out and the top will open. It lasts plenty long enough for my small house, and I checked the cable would be sufficient before I bought it as I didn't want to mess about with extension leads. The extension pipe does not get dangerously hot, it is a tube within a tube. The outside plastic is perfectly safe. The floors are left nearly dry. If they are too wet, stop steaming !I really like that the whole thing fits in a kitchen drawer, with all the accessories. I have read the top can seize if left for ages so I always unscrew it a bit after use.

I bought this after much research and based on the reputation of KArcher cleaner used on the farm.I wanted it for my natural stone floors throughout my barn, also to deep clean shower.Perhaps I haven’t got to grips with it, but in the three times in which I have used it, here are my observations.I need an extension lead to cover area. It is heavier than I thought. I don’t like having to press down the steam nozzle, and then there is a lot of water. My right first finger becomes sore and red as a result of pressure on the button. It is a tiring exercise. I am a fit 78 year old female.It takes some time for the water chamber to cool before the top can be unscrewed in order to refill with more water. A good feature as there is still pressure in the water container.I didn’t find the instructions easy…lots of pictures which indicate what is what, but the written instructions which go with the diagrams have to be found amidst the many pages in the booklet which comes in umpteen languages. For simplicity I extracted them so that I could read alongside the pictures. Had I not done so I would probably have returned the product.However, the cleaner does the job. Mould stains on the stone floor came off a dream using the special bristle nozzle. This is messy and needs a basin and cloth to mop up afterwards, but as this is one of the main reasons for wanting a steam cleaner I am satisfied and deduce that the weight etc is necessary to deliver this service.Hope this information is of help!

I bought this unit primarily for the bathroom as I have a wet floor shower that doesn't drain properly so I have a lot of standing water which turns the floor mouldy. This unit didn't remove any of the mould. I tried it on the mould on the silicone which bleach removes instantly - nothing. I tried on the limescale around the taps - again no. How about the pinkish residue on the tiles from standing water? Nothing. It just seemed like it was blowing hot air so I put my hand in front of the outlet expecting to be burnt - it wasn't even hot! Perhaps I have a faulty unit??? I checked the reviews on Karcher website and they are 80% 1 star reviews.After a few minutes I had to put it down because it's so heavy and my fingers were killing from pressing the on button. I have a health condition which is the reason I bought this, to clean without chemicals, I cant even hold it for long enough to clean my tiny bathroom. Not fit for purpose at all and I will be returning.
