Good for adults too
I know these books are designed to teach children Spanish. However, I am planning an extended stay in a Spanish speaking country and I wanted to be able to speak at least rudimentary Spanish and these books are perfect! They very simply teach basic words like numbers, colors, animals, articles of clothing, body parts, etc in context and in an easily understood, story like way. These are things you must know to provide a basis for more complex learning. I'm very happy with them

Excellent materials!
I am a semi retired Spanish professor and use this with my granddaughter who is a passive bilingual but has not yet learned to read in Spanish. I love that the story line is so simple that she can read it, yet it is actually engaging. She also loved accessing the online audio on my cell phone. Kudos to the writers and artist for creating such simple materials in accessible Spanish. In my own classes I use TPRS (TRP Storytelling) and other natural acquisition based methods to teach and this is also how I have interacted in Spanish with my granddaughter since birth. I have returned to buy Sets 2 and 3. Now if only they made these in Russian for me!

Great for beginning Spanish learners/teachets
Loved the simplicity, the repetitiveness, the translations, the explanation sheet. the URL for audio link and teaching resources.I used them for a week with my 2 1/2 yr old (pretty sharp) granddaughter. She kept asking me to read them to her, and we added books a bit at a time. She was knowing some words already! We loved that the colors book showed the blending of paints to make new colors! Her parents were also looking at the books and learning too. I left the set with them to use as a family. They are all excited about learning (relearning some) Spanish! Being bi-lingual, I’m thrilled!Very happy with the choice of this book series. We got set 1. Glad to know there are additional sets available to keep building the vocabulary.

It works
This is a well thought out book for teaching young children the basic words to associate with. Capturing drawings and subject material to ease the child into this language. Short and sweet but effective.

Good intro to Spanish
Bottom line: they’re exactly what I hoped they’d be when I ordered them.My 7-year-old son announced he wanted to learn some Spanish, so I went looking for a beginning reader and found these. They’re cute, but not too babyish for my son to tolerate. They use simple language with difficulty that builds from book to book, and they’re entertaining enough that my son hasn’t minded reading them multiple times to get more fluent. The only caution I will offer is that the physical books include translations in the back, but no pronunciation or phonics guidance at all. There are supposed to be online audio files but I didn’t try them, because I speak enough Spanish that I could tell my son how the words and letters sound. Just be aware that if you don’t speak Spanish yourself, you’ll need to either prep ahead of time or have those audio files handy when your kid is reading. Or both.

My kid is interested!
We homeschool and I have not had an easy time with submersion Spanish. I am not confident in my pronunciation even though I've been taking Duolingo for a long time. I've seen people compare these with Bob's books and they are. I Love them because it's not just color/family/clothing words. They are sentences. They have repeating words with each new word. It's brilliant. And they don't have English next to the Spanish. The vocabulary is on the inside of the cover.I think it's very effective and he loves going online (you just line up the code to your code reading app) the only thing is they have you turn the page fast. But you can pause it after the sentence to have them repeat or something. I have recommended it to friends for sure.

Fun for my preschooler
My preschooler attends a bilingual school, and I felt like he needed more Spanish exposure at home to keep up at school. I’ve been reading these books to him, and he loves the silly pictures that create a fun story despite the simplicity of the text.
