On December 31, 2015, legendary rock icons Motley Cr?e completed their 35-year touring career with a spectacular final concert at Staples Center in their hometown of Los Angeles, just 10 miles from the Sunset Strip where the band's infamous and decadent career first launched. Motley Cr?e thrilled the sold-out arena with performances of such mega-hits as "Kickstart My Heart," "Girls, Girls, Girls," "Home Sweet Home" and more. Cr?e fans can now relive all the action for the first time in 4K UHD.

The audio and picture quality are phenomenal.
If you love concert releases by bands, this is a must buy. This is one of the highest quality concerts I have ever seen released by any band and is about as perfect a concert release I have ever seen. The 4k HDR footage is fantastic and clear, but varies a bit as they use a variety of different kinds of cameras for the different shots. The DTS-HD Master Audio is perfect, and if you have a proper surround sound system with large speakers you'll feel like you're at the arena. The disc defaults to a lossy stereo track so you'll want to always turn on the DTS-HD audio before you watch this. That track is uncompressed and has far more audio data that perfectly recreates what the band members were performing that night. It is super clear and rich and will sound better even if all you have is a normal 4K tv.My only gripe about this release is that the packaging is kinda crappy. It is a thin tiny cardboard sleeve that is hard to get the disc out of, but it does sort of recreate the vinyl experience, but I was expecting a nice hard cover case, but this release is about the concert and so the packaging really doesn't matter when the concert and the audio are basically perfect in every way.

Thanks for the memories....
What an awesome show! I wasn't able to get to see them live for this final time but I've seen them plenty. Mick's playing was spot on and arguably the best performance he's ever done. Nikki's speech should get a motivational speech of the year award. Tommy's drum solo was epic. I wish they didn't cut out the footage of when he was stuck. You can find you tube video's that shows the whole thing, he was stuck upside down for several minutes. Vince's vocals were just okay. One can't expect a person in their 50's to sing like they are still 20. They also cut out Vince's mini speech at the beginning of Same ole Situation. (Again you can find it on you tube). The video does a great job of making you feel like you're their, with excellent camera angles of the pyrotechnics and slo-mo's of things. The sound is on par, albeit compressed some. Understanding you only have 1 disc so you only have so much room. The audio cd is a added plus, it's in my car. I've watched this dvd a good 5-6 times now. Outside of the small things I've pointed out, I thoroughly enjoy this concert and it'll be a while before it's "shelved". It's a great value for what you get, and you can still order concert memorabilia off of their site if you wanted.I'm going to miss guys, and thanks for the memories!

5 Stars for the preservation of the last Crue show
I grew up on the Crue. In the early 80s they were untamed and mythic. I remember seeing the Shout at the Devil display larger than life in the Hasting Music store front window at the mall. There, in front of an impressionable 13 year old kid, stood the Saints of LA among the the fiery ruins of some post apocalyptic madness. They were forbidden and I was hooked.I followed them and supported them throughout their career: buying albums, cassette tapes, CDS, concert shirts and wall posters. So, it is of no surprise that I went to their farewell tour. In fact, I saw them for both Houston Farewell shows. This concert is exactly what I experienced. Right down the the Sixx man give an anecdote of taking his grandfather's pocket knife. The drum set didn't break down at the concerts I went to, but it was fitting for this final show; it gave us a testament of how the Crue rolls with the punches and were always rock and roll warriors in the face of adversity.Tommy rocked it on the skins as always. Mars was a shredding madman and played with might and vigor. Nikki heated up the venue literally and figuratively and had a good rapport with Vince on stage. Vince was emotional throughout but this was it; he knew that the Beast would be no more and it got to him. Also he was not in the best of shape. Food and drink and lack of exercise had slowed him down and stole his breath. And his dark clothing could not hide his excess. It was hard for him to keep up with his bandmates' high octane performance. But that is ok. This is The End and his emotion and apparent love of the band and fans made up for that. Afterall, he is the front man that emerged from the ashes clad in red and black leather to Shout at the Devil; you can't take that awesomeness away from him.My only complaint is they went too short. They should have banged out 30 songs. They should have gone all night long. But this is what we get. Again, this is the show I remember. If you missed the tour; if you missed the final goodbye; then here you go. It is Fantastic visual eye candy. The picture is crisp and colorful and vivid. The sound pumped and cranked through my sound system louder than hell. So, if you are on the fence, just buy this piece of history. You get a Bluray disk of a final and quality performance that will entertain you. And you get a live audio of the final concert. On with the show!
