Works great
Bought this for easier locking of the house. Works great. Don’t need keys. Just press a button to lock it and then input password to open. Only downside is the music it plays upon opening and closing is a bit loud and annoying wakes up the baby upstairs. There might be a way to turn off the sound but I haven’t looked into it yet. Installation was simple and straightforward.

Sleek look Easy Install
I replaced one of our homes garden locks with this sleek looking yale lock and was surprised how easy the install was if the door already comes pre drilled. I did i have to do a tiny amount of chisel work but after that an hour later i was able to easily put in the lock on the door. The key pad i will admit does seem a little hard to see as the numbers kind of blend into the dark color which is my main complaint but sensibly it is quite easy to get the numbers. As long as the install is good the lock works great! I am not able to never worry about if the door is locked and if i have broguht my key.I also like that the lock makes a noise if it is not aligned right so it can lock which is a huge touch for these auto locks as many times a slight mis alighment will not be able to get a proper lock. The locking mechanism after a few months has also been running great and I havent heard it weakening at all. I do have a similar lock on another door and you can definitely hear when the batteries are about to slow down. There is 2 diodes on the bottom if the batteries are out to attach a D battery to power it temporarily in those cases.

Beautiful Yale quality but nothing "smart" here, if that's what you're seeking
Ordered this to use on our rental home in the hopes that the codes would be easy to switch and the device wouldn't require Bluetooth or wifi to work possibly locking guests out. This unit does not have any "smart" features-- it is simply a programmable keypad lock that is battery operated and digital instead of mechanical. Because of that, you can set lots of codes but what you can't do is remotely change a code to a different one and delete the old one. This is crucial for my particular application, so I won't use the device for my intended purpose but I'll install it on my workshop and it will be a fine upgrade there. This is a bit of a one-trick pony but if you're looking for a high quality digital lock that's easy to install, reliable, and pretty affordable for name brand stuff, here you go.

Yale YRD137 Keyless Entry Keypad Deadbolt
Like one expects from Yale, this new electronic non-smart lock has a high quality feel to it. You can tell they have higher standards than competitors, and are typically worth the cost. This lock was simple to install and program. It is not a smart lock, so there’s no connecting it to Bluetooth or WiFI, which was fine for this purpose. You program with a code and using a series of keys which is explain well in the instructions. I love how it does not have a key, so you do not need to worry about that being picked. Overall, I am highly satisfied and recommend it.

Fails to lock automatically most of the time.
This item worked fine for the first couple months but now less than four months after purchase it fails to lock all the time. Yale support has not been able to fix the issue. I would like to have a replacement even though it is past the return dead line.

WARNING: Download instructions and fit template before ordering
This is a solidly built, well designed keyless entry deadbolt type lock. This is good as a second lock for when you want to allow visitors temporary access or delivery or service personnel access without providing your main key.WARNING: This lock will not fit every door! Before purchasing, visit the Yale website and download and print the instructions, which include a template and measuring guide to ensure this lock is appropriate for your own door and doorframe.Instructions are easy to follow, but take care to route the wire from the outside to the inside carefully so you don't accidentally sever the wire during installation. You're going to need a drill, a chisel and screwdrivers, but no more so than when installing any other lock. You program the access code yourself, so make sure you pick something memorable, but not obvious. There is no app or remote control or key with this model. The lock is battery operated so make sure you change the batteries when the red low battery light appears. If the battery dies, you can temporarily power the lock with a 9-volt battery, but it's better to change the batteries early than go looking for a 9-volt battery when you're trying to get in your place.
