Elegant science
Great for those who want to keep a reminder of their choice towards a world discovered through scientific principles, and making the statement with an elegant piece (model) that looks good in your office or home.

Nice science gadget.
I am pleased with this purchase. It is definitely above my students’ level of understanding but I want to spark curiosity in them and I think this will really intrigue some of them.

A Miracle Unfolds!
Watch the video—it is an astounding sight, almost galactic!

Robustly built but minor flaw
Nice demonstration device, nice material, robustly built. Nevertheless the strings were not measured correctly so the oscillation dont return appropriately to the initial state

Inexpensive but cool science demonstrator
This inexpensive but well-engineered gadget illustrates the principle that, the shorter a pendulum is, the faster it oscillates back and forth. The beam carries 12 weighted ball pendulums hanging at different lengths, so, when you swing them together, they quickly re-form into a wave demonstrating the scientific principle.Although the materials are basically cheap Lucite, fishing line, and metal balls, all the parts are formed and measured with care and easy to assemble. It's best kept out of the reach of children when not actively using it to teach them, but aside from that, should be fairly durable on an upper shelf. It comes in a sturdy box with custom-cut foam padding for safe shipping and storage - don't lose the box if you plan on ever storing it again in the future!

This is NOT Newton's Cradle!
I just got this and was completely disappointed when I pulled out the bracket with the 12 steel balls because they were at different lengths.A real Newton's Cradle is the balls all hang at the SAME level so they swing back and forth with the same mass and energy to make the same number of balls at the other end move the same. So, if you pull out 1 ball, 1 ball will move at the other end, if you pull 2 balls, 2 balls will move at the other end, and so on and so on.This also has sides that doesn't allow the balls to swing from side to side.I tried for about an hour to get the balls to be at the same length before I gave up and reread the discription of this which is 100% WRONG for a real Newton's Cradle!

Fun to watch but it's huge
This is a fun thing to watch, however it's a little cheap being made of plastic that you have to assemble. Works well but you have to make sure the metal balls are adjusted to the right height on their strings. Also it can't just sit on a desk because it's really large. It needs a spot to sit where you won't be working due to its size.

Mesmerizing
This desktop accessory is not one of those that the balls clack together from end to end. The balls swing in a pendulum motion back and forth and since they are suspended at differing lengths, they oscillate at different frequencies which results in a mesmerizing sort of “wave” undulation. The item was bigger than I had expected at about 12 inches tall & 12 inches wide. But I suppose if it were smaller, the undulating wave motion would be too fast to appreciate.
