I had a problem. I had some region A blu rays that i couldn't play on anything, region locked ones. the solution was looking like spending a few hundred pounds on a decent region free blu ray player or until i had the thought, get one of these, i have a small pc for media in the living room so granted not a solution for all - you could use a laptop. i had to install CyberLink PowerDVD 23 which is free, set my dvd drive to region one in device manager and then in the powerDVD software options change to region A for blu rays restart the software and this worked a treat. so for less than £50 if you have a few region A blu rays to play this is great.

Great little USB powered drive, ideal for connection to a modern laptop with no internal drive.Value for money, easy to use. Can't go wrong.

The seller claims it's a Blue ray device, and reports to Windows that it's a Blue ray device, but it never played a Blu-ray disc, it just spun the disk and after a while gave up. I know it's not the disks, or my software because my LG Blue Ray drive plays them without any problems on the same computer. After 2 months of use it stopped working altogether and I just returned it.

Very compact, though feels a tad flimsy. Plays CDs and BDs well - can't comment on writing. The built in cable is convenient, especially with the two different plugs, but could do with being a little longer.

this thing is great, I spent 2 weeks converting my 1000+ CD's into FLAC files so I can play the collection via my digital streaming platform. using it with JRiver on my PC it was on some CD's running up to 18x faster with an average read speed of 15x. In addition I can plug it directly into my streamer to us use a as CD transport until I get dedicated one.

It can act as a disc reader for cd-dvds, but you need to get software if you want to play bluerays.

Item arrived with a good packing. I like the way it hide the USB cable so I don't need to worry about the cable while travelling. I'm using Windows 11, once plug in and I can use it straight away.
