After looking at so many electric nit Combs and seeing not may had good reviews I bit the bullet and bought this one. It does work. It has a green light to show it's turned on and then if a nit is detected the red light comes on, so also really good for detecting nits to. It does actually zap them, but you need to hold it in place for a few seconds. You do need use the comb every day for 10 days. This comb also comes with bright light so you can see all through the hair. This light can also be turned off. It also comes with a little cleaning brush that you pull out the bottom of the comb. The only cons of this is one daughter has extremely long thick hair and I do find it a bit more difficult. Just make sure you brush through the hair thoroughly before using the comb, to get rid of any knot's
