Perfect. The pigmentation is very vibrant and it looks like real gold. Unlike some of the other brands that give off a dull, cheap look.

I don't know about the edible gold foil. I got these for the BUTTERFLIES! There are three different sizes with a count of 4 each, so that's a total of 12 all together.The foil sheets are actually smaller than I thought. They are about 1 inch squares. The gold for those is shimmery, but I don't bake so if I use them it will be on media like paper or clay. The butterflies are very pretty and the gold metallic sheeting they are cut from have a nice reflection. I was able to tie them in a mobile and hang them in front of my window. Another neat thing is that there is enough of an edge that the butterflies could be used as a stencil or to be traced onto another media. It's also possible to crease them slightly so that the wings arc up which gives them a nice animated quality.It's a really good value for about $7.I can offer a 5-star review without any reservations.

Non edible Butterflies are nice size and don't look cheap at all /can be used multiple times if used in floral arrangements. The gold leaf is of the smaller type about 1"×1" . Best to apply these direct from the paper ,without touching, as they will become many peices , or powder very easliy nearly disintegrating in your hands. Apply to frosting by bringing paper with one gold square close to the frosting -touch the gold lightly to the surface, it will cling to the cake getting sucked in as if by vacuum or magic... to frosting . Pressing or working into the frosting was not necessary. They don't come off once they cling and moving them is not possible so place carefully and cover up any mistake peices with more frosting if need be! If you want a sort of confetti gold this can be cut and sprinkled or torn and lifted in pieces with tweezers. You might try folding the paper to breakup and tapping to sprinkle aswell - but they make better versions for that type of use so concider buying multiple varieties or order the confetti type to begin with..- these will not go far for you in that form. These are nice small squares and best for laying as whole squares randomly across the cake like golden windows. There is enough for one cake to be sporadically adorned or 6 cupcakes. If you desire heavy gold look or wish to do thexentire yop of a cake - you will need larger squares and many more peices - many more. These were perfect for our use on a special order. The butterflies were an extra benefit that I am excited to have for future orders. They are not edible BTW. I definitely can and do recommend this kit it's a nice pack to have on standby or for filling requests. The butterflies will be great for cupcakes as spring arrives!

This is a set of Gold decorations. There are 10 small edible Gold foil squares, (about 1" by 1"), along with 12non-edible Gold butterflies. I got this to make Chinese New Year 2025 food and drink more festive. While the butterflies are easy to handle and use, the edible Gold foil is quite small and thin and will be more of a challenge to use artistically. I think the use of an X-ACTO knife will be needed to make precise cuts.* Note - the Gold foil must be 23-24 karat to be safe to consume in small quantities. The Gold foil in this set is listed as 24K.Overall, I find the concept of edible gold to be interesting. I would have liked the foil to be more manageable.

I am thrilled to find that this is beautiful, genuine, edible 24K gold leaf at a reasonable price. I tested it, and it melts easily on the tongue, which is a quality that fake gold does not have. The sheets are small, but a little goes a long way. It's very delicate to handle, as is a quality of all genuine edible gold, so I usually put a face mask on so that I don't blow it away, and I use culinary tweezers to grab and place the perfect flake of gold. This looks stunning on desserts and fine cuisine and is without a doubt a top-quality product. The butterflies they come with are cute but a bit random, and they are sheet metal, not edible. Overall, it's a great product at a great price, and I will order again.

This sheet gold is very thin, as it should be, but is easy to work with. There is no taste, so it doesn’t interfere with the flavor of your baked goods. It held up overnight, and remained very shiny. The butterflies are pretty, but are not edible!

Order this for the gold leafs as I intended on making the Dubai chocolate and using the edible gold in this kit. As a plus it comes with a very cute gold butterfly decoration that is super versatile. Pleased with this set for the cost and quality and the edible gold functions well I do just recommend using tweezers as they immediately disintegrate when you touch them. I still found them easy to use with the chocolate I made as I worried that the heat of the chocolate would further dissolve them they stayed in tack.
