Ok, not had another one so can’t compare it to any else similar, did the job.

Excellent value for money..

Items all work well, my only issue is that the box it all comes in looks like someone attacked it with sandpaper.

Ideal for the modeller.

This is a decent craft tool set. It is basic but still has everything needed for a start with modelling. Apart from the tweezers, which were on the flimsy side, the tools are of a nice quality and the plastic case is handy for keeping everything together safely.

This set is a great way of getting the core model building tools.The set consists of the main tools you need to start building models, although you will most likely still need glue and painting stuff to get started.The kit has the side cutters to remove sections from the sprues, remove mould lines, file and smooth components as well as a craft knife, ruler and tweezers to help with the finer points of assembly, all kept together in a case for convenient storage.In use, having these tools to hand makes life easier when it comes to assembling models, including Gundam, model kits and neaten up some of my 3D printed models.Overall, this is a great set that includes the core items you need to start assembling models.

I ordered this modelling kit to add to my craft stocks, as you can never have too many basic tools, but it has been snagged by my Hubby for his model making. I chose the kit as it has lots of useful tools all in one place so everything is on hand & stored neatly, all together. Despite Hubby having collected an eclectic range of tools over the years, he can never find them all in one place so when he saw this little pack, it was just too tempting!The ‘sharps’ in the kit are surprisingly good. The cutters are flat on one side rather than chamfered so can cut the sprues off accurately. The knife is not the flimsy type which the blades fall out of & the carving cutter is an excellent size & shape for the intended task. The tweezers also seem good quality with the ends meeting correctly & in line. All too often you end up with out of line tweezers & when you come to use them, they flick the small parts all over, but not so with these. The case is compact & clicks shut solidly. The only small complaint would be the thickness of the smoothing/polishing sticks as they are quite fat & it is sometimes difficult to get them into the small spaces required.Not the best tools but a great selection for the price & certainly better than some budget range items in the range at hobby & craft stores. All in all a worthwhile purchase & cost effective at £7-£8.
